Exhibitions > New Plans for Eden

New Plans for Eden , The Contemporary Arts Forum, Santa Barbara, Ca. 2003.
This work was made as a reaction to the US Government and News media arguments for and build up to the Iraq War. The center piece of this exhibition is a scale model of the Iraq Strategic Pipeline, the oil pipeline that stretches form Northern and Western Iraq to the Persian Gulf. This work is ceramic table legs and apron, with a stainless steel pipe that follows the lower map. Where Iraq has large deposits of oil, the legs were filled with used motor oil. The equation being made in the work, was that this system would be fragile and especially so when the viewer occupied its immediate surroundings.
