If you take the adage 'Blood is thicker then water' and flip it, the question might be 'What is Blood without Water?" Fertilizer might be the answer to that question, or it might lend pause to the basic tenants of all major religions - Love thy neighbor as thyself.... this sort of thing.
Using these two materials and conceptual metaphoric themes has been central to my work for several decades.
